For a G1 class of aggregate (8/15), this means that the grains are calibrated to pass through a 15mm sieve, while being retained by an 8mm sieve.

·        Use: Gravel of this size is used in the production of common concretes, slabs, or foundations.

·        Continuous grading: This type of aggregate is often combined with sands (0/5) (whose grains measure between 0 and 5mm to create dense and compact concrete.
